Default Mind Blast Nuker Build

Hey

Haven't been touching my ele for quite some time. The last time I used it, SF was good (That was like 6 months ago)

So i figured its kinda time I have a little fun with my ele now. And made a little build after reading around some of the common builds people used. Comments and recommendations on how to make it better will be a great help to me.

[skill]mind blast[/skill][skill]rodgort's invocation[/skill][skill]liquid flame[/skill][skill]glyph of lesser energy[/skill][skill]fire attunement[/skill]

The 3 pve skills are Great Dwarf Weapon, "Finish Him!" and "You Move Like A Dwarf!".

Skill points are as follows:

Fire: 12 + 1 + 1
ES: 12 + 1

And this is for pve

Anyone in particular you plan to help out with Great Dwarf Weapon? Last I checked, you could only use it on other allies.

My guess is that he would be casting it on his allies.

I would prolly switch out "You Move Like a Dwarf!" for Pain Inverter. Our ele brings it wherever he goes and it's a killer-will drop anything in a matter of seconds.

Yup, i am aware of the 8 sec recharge. More time for me to cast some other stuffs

I cast great dwarf weapon on my physical damagers like the barrager henchmen or warrior henchmen.

I am not so sure about pain inverter, because my impression for it is that my team got to take damage before my target will be damaged. Haven't been using it much, will try it out some time

That is the downside, but considering alot of enemies in HM use some form of AoE (whether it's giant stomp or a spell or something) it'll reflect all that damage back and multiply it-so your party can get hit for like 40 damage each, and the person causing it gets hit for ~640 damage back

So it doesn't have to be alot of damage-it just has to be damage.

I think if you take one skill out like 'Finish Him' or one of the other three and take a res with you.. U can say my heroes got res.. but still .. if they die and ur the only survivor? u need res.. so i shoud take res with me

You're team's going to be damaged anyway and using pain inverter to do damage back while being hit is worth a skill slot imo, better than you move like a dwarf anyway. I play an ele and bring it wherever I can so I'd suggest trying it out first to see if you like it.

There's nothing to fear owns. Pain inverter is a pile of shit unless you like seeing your team take massive damage. Good use of monk hybrid bars will prevent bars from going down drastically.

Other great options are 2 ebon vanguard wards (honor + courage, if you don't have already a SY! in party). Breath of great dwarf (tho i like tntf moreee), splinter weapon + ancestors rage.

Talking from personnal experience-last night I was fighting some cetradons in HM. Had both SY! and TNtF up, put Pain Inverter on one of the dinos. He fired off Shockwave, killed him instantly, and the party only dipped by 10% (which was easily recoverable by one party heal). We then repeated on the other two with the same results.

Like I said our party's ele brings it and it just owns-doesn't take much party damage for it to be viable spike.

The build is fine. "There's Nothing to Fear" as another option as well.

This makes me very sad too Spamming Mark of Rodgorts and MindBlast was one of my favorite pve combos. Its still useful but that three seconds sure did put a damper on things.

As for your build it looks great, I will try it out this evening! Thanks for sharing.

If anything that's better for the PvE version of the bar. Most elementalists that were introduced to it would basically just spam Mind Blast and Rodgorts, now with the recharge increase they have to actually use the other skills. It just made them better players

Pain Inverter gets better as your team gets worse. If you're running with henchies or bad players I'd seriously consider it.

I wouldn't bother bringing Great Dwarf Weapon for henchies, but it's amazing on even halfway competent players.

Nothing wrong with Rodgorts/Liquid/Mind Blast/Fire Attune core.

Just wondering if GoLE will be useful, seeing the energy return nerf to mind blast.

It does helps me out sometimes, as I do get low on energy at times. Probably also because I am still not used to the Mind Blast concept.
